Management Lite & Ezy 34 – Supply-Chain and Strategy

In Management Lite & Ezy 10, I touched on two types of supply chains – physically efficient and market responsive – as identified by Fisher. Jay Heizer and Barry Render expended his idea.

According to Heizer and Render, a firm can adopt one of three strategies – low-cost, responsive or differentiation. Each of these strategies requires different supply-chain management. Refer to table below. (Click for larger image.)
