揽住一齐死

香港“边缘化”的另一原因,是珠三角的广东当局早已放弃了九十年代还跟香港“经济互补、前店后居”的政策,而是“你搞甚么,我也搞甚么”,直接竞争。正如欧美许多城镇,一名华人开了一家餐馆,生意兴隆,不久必有另一个华人加入竞争,同一条街抢生意,最后互相割价,宁愿“揽住一齐死”,也不会“揾食行远”,另行发展其他的事业。

大马一些马来领袖,认为华人善于经商,就呼吁马来人向华人学习。其实华人看到那一门生意赚钱,便一窝蜂去搞,到了市场饱和,就“揽住一齐死”。不信?看看星马两地的 kopitiam 和港式餐厅吧。

相反的,美国人懂得进军少竞争的 niche market,管理大师 Michael Porter 的市场策略,其中一条就是 “product differentiation”,或产品区别。要学经商,还是向美国佬偷师吧。

    Yes, 热闹. Good for the consumers. But if you own a kopitiam, you will be unhappy if a new store opens across the street.

  4. 有些经营商为了吸引顾客,不惜降低货品的价格,‘做烂市’。。。我就遇到酱的问题。

  6. 强者生存。做得好的话不怕与人竞争。说回kopitiam,顾客分得出哪间好,哪间以后不必再去的~呵呵~

    有些copycat 的 kopitiam 装修设计菜单都抄得十足,已没有创意可言。东西还要差的可以,让客人有被骗的感觉。
    是无情了点,适者生存是达尔文进化论。。。哈哈哈

    I noticed too the Chinese love to have the same product sold in one street: i.e "shoes" street, "clothes" street etc. I often joked bout that when I was in China.

    kopitiam 有什麽意思?
