jam I am not pro America, but I do feel that Chinese are too proud.
I write this post because I recalled the magazine I read many years ago. The magazine said Thai boxers practiced 神打 - martial art assisted by deities/spirits/demons. I thought I wanted to clarify.
Chinese kungfu are great - technique-wise. As I mentioned, kungfu makes use of punching, kicking, elbowing, even head-butting. And I can assure you that I am a fan of 武侠小说.
That problem probably lies in training method. Chinese martial artists value quantity over quality 贵多不贵精. Or to use the word of sinji, Thai boxers are 蛮. Depends on how you see it.
Talking about Chinese are too proud. I think all the races in this world are proud of their heritage. American are proud, British are proud, we are proud to be Malaysian (of course at times not 100% agree to our government), even Tibetans feel proud of their culture (that's where the conflict with Chinese government comes in).
没真正研究过泰拳。不过它给我的感觉是用“蛮”, 中国拳法是用“劲”~
ReplyDelete哈,不知道咧~
sinji
ReplyDeleteSome people see it as "蛮", others see it as 'practical'...
From a lot of articles in this blog, you give me a feeling you are kinda anti china or pro america. May be I am wrong!
