ReplyDeleteThanks for dropping by.
Air attack can be done by machines. Occupying still needs human. Thousands of Americans have died in Iraq, and that is one of the reasons approval rate for President Bush dipped.
In any case, when it comes to weapons, Japan is still lagging behind its giant neighbor - China and Russia.
I'd say it's better to read news reports from BOTH sides. From there you'll find a balance without being biased to either side. It's like the news coverage on Israeli-Palestinean conflict. Western medias (esp US) tend to cover more on the Israeli side and revile the Palestineans with images of terrorisms and barbarism. Muslim countries would do the otherwise, focusing on the plights of the Palestineans and more often than not, demonize the Israeli army as the true aggressors of the conflict.

ReplyDeleteAgree with you.
However, remember that anyone - Westerners or Asians - can write in English. So we can listen to different voices even in English media.
I notice that many people who criticize China in English media are actually Taiwanese. Similarly, many people who criticize Islam in English are Indians.
That's history already..

ReplyDeleteYes this is history, but Chinese still hate Japanese.
