后来有机会到中国的广州市去。在那儿，我发现原来我讲的华语，居然比许多广州人讲的普通话来的标准！为什么华教斗士还是像深宫怨妇那般不停发牢骚？

ReplyDelete还有，华教斗士“怨”的是华人子弟不愿学华语，不是华语不够标准吧？！
当年他们辛苦办华教，让马来(西)亚的华人也能接受华教；然而有人有机会也放弃，他们怎么不心痛？
我也是国中生，学校没有华文老师，念华语是星期六特别上课的。喜欢就来，不来也没什么后果。即使如此，我还是没有缺席过任何一堂。

ReplyDeleteA teacher of mine liked to say, "Chinese must speak Chinese." That's more than just "learning Chinese" 学华语. Instead, everyone who speaks English is considered a banana man.
I used to agree with him, until I was in the university. Today I write in English, so in a sense I have transformed from a potential 华教斗士 to a banana man, hahaha...

ReplyDeleteOne more thing: 华教斗士 now insist that Maths and Science must be taught in Chinese. That again shows that they demand more than "learning Chinese".

And we shouldn't sacrifice English.
